The fifth studio album by BTS, titled 'Arirang', has taken the top spots on significant weekly music charts both domestically and globally.
According to Hanteo Chart, which tracks album sales, BTS's latest album 'Arirang' claimed the number one position on both the weekly world chart and the album chart for the period from March 23 to 29. This indicates that the album reached the summit of the chart within three days of its release on March 20, maintaining this position for two consecutive weeks, reflecting its strong reception.

The American music publication Billboard previewed on March 30 that 'Arirang' had secured the top spot on their main album chart, the 'Billboard 200', for the April 4 edition. Entering the chart with 641,000 album units, this represents the best weekly performance for a group album since the initiation of unit tracking in December 2014. Within these figures, 532,000 were pure album sales, encompassing both physical and digital purchases. This milestone marks the highest weekly sales for a group album in over ten years, setting a new benchmark.
BTS has also triumphed on international music charts. They have dominated Spotify's weekly charts during the period from March 20 to 26, including 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists'. The title track 'SWIM' notably achieved the number one spot on Spotify's 'Weekly Top Songs Global', and all 14 tracks from the album made their way into the top 30, showcasing their global appeal.
The track 'SWIM' maintained its leadership on Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple's 'Top 100 Global' charts for 9 and 7 consecutive days, respectively, covering March 20 to 28 and March 23 to 29. Furthermore, every song from the album appeared on the latest charts from both platforms. Even ten days post-release, all tracks continue to enjoy immense popularity, highlighting the global music community's affection for them.
In the interim, BTS is set to present the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on April 9, 11, and 12. They will also perform stadium concerts in South America, visiting Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil in October. All 46 performances, which include locations such as Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, have sold out in advance, underscoring their extraordinary ability to draw in crowds.
